Care
The smooth-haired Dachshund has little body odor and is easy to care for, an occasional but thorough rub down of the whole body with a damp mircofiber cloth should suffice. The long haired Dachshund needs to be brushed daily.
Dachshunds are best for loving pet parents who don't have other pets or small children. With moderate levels of energy, they'd love to take a relaxing walk with you every day. They're intelligent and brave, so they'll thrive if they get mental challenges through puzzle games or scent-tracking sports.
